Interior Design
Leave it to the professionals
Decorating your own home means working out ideas and developing a concept of how you want it to be. To do this, many choices have to be made about styles, colours, fabrics and materials, lighting plan, etc. If the property also needs to be rented out, there are additional aspects that are important to optimally serve your target group. After that, everything has to be purchased and the interior plan realized into the dream home as you envisioned it. All this requires a lot of knowledge and time, causes a lot of stress and does not always lead to the desired result. That’s why I advise my clients to hire an interior designer or interior designer. Also in this process I am your Personal Property Assistant, I visit the house on your behalf at scheduled times to see if the design is being carried out properly and within the schedule and report this to you.

Phases from intake to delivery
Hiring an interior designer to furnish or redecorate your home is an exciting process that requires creativity, planning, and collaboration. Below I describe the typical steps you can expect when I hire an interior designer for you:
- Introduction and intake interview: The interior designer would like to get to know you, as well as your tastes, style preferences and the functional requirements you have for your space. In this call, you’ll discuss what you want to achieve, your budget, and your timeline.
- Space assessment: The designer will visit your home to assess the spaces, take measurements, and get a feel for the space and natural light.
- Development of the design concept: Based on the information from the intake and the space assessment, the designer develops a design concept. This can include color schemes, materials, furniture pieces, and layouts.
- Presentation of the design proposal: The designer presents his or her proposal, often in the form of mood boards, floor plans, and 3D visualizations. This will give you a clear idea of what the space might look like.
- Feedback and adjustments: You will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the proposal. Based on your input, the designer can make adjustments to ensure that the design fully meets your needs.
- Final design and cost estimate: After any adjustments, a final design and a detailed cost estimate will be submitted. This includes all aspects of the design, including furniture, materials, and labor costs.
- Implementation phase: After approval of the final design and budget, the implementation phase begins. The designer coordinates with contractors, furniture suppliers and other stakeholders to bring the design to life.
- Project management: Throughout the process, the designer oversees the project to ensure that everything is going according to plan and that deadlines are met.
- Delivery and final finishing: After the realization of the design, the designer will style the space and put the finishing touches to the furnishings. This is the time when you can start admiring and using your new, custom-made space.
- Evaluation and aftercare: Finally, an evaluation meeting can take place to discuss the process and provide any aftercare, such as maintenance advice for your new interior.
Our design partners work in a structured way, but every design process is unique. It is always tailor-made because it varies depending on the specific needs and wishes of the client, as well as the working method and style of the designer.
Styles
Interior design encompasses a wide range of styles, each with its own unique features and aesthetic appeal. Popular interior styles for Spanish luxury apartments and villas are Modern (design), Ibiza (Bohemian), Rustic Chiq, Hotel Chic, Industrial and Classic (with a modern twist). You will also see beautiful vintage pieces in many interiors. Often a certain style is chosen as a starting point, but for certain components it is also drawn from other styles. The Ibiza style originated from this and has now become a very popular interior style in its own right. Get inspired below!
Design-Modern
Contemporary, modern interiors with clean lines, minimalist décor, and an open-plan layout are also popular. Glass, metal and modern materials are often used to create a feeling of luxury and spaciousness. You will often find good works of art in these interiors.
Ibiza-Bohemian
This style combines elements of the Mediterranean and Bohemian styles and is popular in coastal villas. It is characterized by whitewashed walls, natural materials and a laid-back, chic atmosphere that blends perfectly with the coastal environment.
Rustic-chic
In country villas, a rustic style with a chic twist is popular. This often includes the use of raw woods, natural stone, and artisanal elements, combined with modern luxury and comfort.
Hotel-chic
Inspired by the luxurious, stylish and often eclectic look and feel of high-end boutique hotels. This style is known for its sophistication, tailored look, and a blend of comfort and glamour.
Industrial
Inspired by urban lofts and industrial spaces, with raw materials such as exposed brick, metal, concrete and reclaimed wood. It often has a rough, unfinished appearance.
Classic
Reflects classic European decoration. It includes elaborate furnishings, rich color palettes, and a variety of textures and curved lines. Wood, velvet, and silk are common materials in traditional interiors.
Vintage
A vintage interior is characterized by the use of historical pieces, such as Art Deco accessories or Mid-Century furniture. This style accentuates unique, time-bound elements that create a nostalgic and authentic atmosphere.
